A dental implant is an artificial tooth root replacement (usually titanium) and is used in prosthetic dentistry to support restorations that resemble a tooth or group of teeth.

Of all the restorations for a lost tooth, the closest to a natural tooth is a single-toothed implant.

An Implant is a great way to replace missing teeth and to avoid having to wear a removable denture or to cut down a neighbouring tooth to construct a bridge.

Initially Dr Vilia Palamountain will see you for a consultation and then you will be required to have a cone beam scan taken to assist in the preparation for surgery.
Once this is assessed Dr Vilia Palamountain can place the implant into the jaw bone.

The healing time is approximately 4-6 months. Once the implant has integrated a crown is constructed.
